EliZa's Fist Month

Eliza's First Month Party 2006

My Cousin's First Baby.
So here as I try new cakes and bakes...
I came up with a baby's first month package.

SliZes believes more in the food product,
thus packaging is kept simple.

An assortment of SliZes.
Starting from the top left.
1. Brownie with Chocolatey Icing
2. Vanilla Shortbread
(Using Vanilla Pod, which explains the black dots)
3. Carrot Cake
4. Fruit Tart
5. Red Egg
6. Cheese Tart
7. Chocolate Hazelnut Swirls
8. Lemon Tart
9. Chocolate Fudge Cake

Some ideas for small cakes, tartlets and slizes were taken from the following links.
Some was improvised, mix ed or invented.

Walnut Brownie with Frosting

I personally don't like Mazipan,
guess what I used to make this little carrots... ?

1kg Carrot cake with Walnuts and Orange Cream Cheese Icing.

Mini Carrots were made using the snow-skin flour for mooncakes.
When I was making the mooncakes last month, it was also the time when I was thinking of what I should put in the full month package. I thought hey I can mould this to little carrots and then the idea to make carrot cake came along. Oh how I miss the carrot cake I had in Phillippines last year when I was there.

My Guniea Pig!

Lemon Tart

Crust is made with shortbread while the top is with Cream Cheese.

Apart from Eliza's First month's little bakes,
this mini tartlets and cupcakes were the desserts at her little party.
In addition to the her little bakes,
there were durian tarts, shaped like a boat with a sail.
